Sunday, Day 10

After an intense weekend retreat with church, today, there is no music in my head. Well, actually there is. There is too much to actually pick one specific one that applies to all the intense, crazy, raging sea of emotions that I felt this weekend.

So today, instead of a song, the still music continues on, but its a piece of sheet music with every measure full of whole rests.

Music: the art of combining melodic sounds with off sets of silence.

I know I've been posting a lot of Sara Bareilles lately and that is due to two reasons: one- I just recently got her CD for Christmas last month and two- I feel like her lyrics are such a perfect, creative, beautiful, original way of expressing human emotions.

Its kinda funny that "Bluebird" is my song of the day because I actually heard several blue jays today while I was laying outside in my hammock. Such vicious little creatures that are in such a cute body.
...Sometimes like life. Sometimes like people we know.

Long Time No Post

Its been a really, really long time since I have even thought about posting something, but I want to try for at least four weeks to post a song of the day that describes my current mood of the day. I know it may seem a little crazy, but songs are written out of true emotions. Sometimes (most of the times) there is nothing more accurate than a song to express your feelings. When there isn't a song out of the millions and billions ever written, then maybe try to write your own! That's what I do sometimes...but its mostly just lyrics and never music incorporated.

This is me, folks. True and expressive through the two mediums that I know and love best: rhetoric and music.
